Each day will run from 9am-3pm. Finish time will vary and is dependent on the group size and skill level.
Maximum of 10 participants per course.
WHAT TO EXPECT!
Teach your dog reliable obedience exercises to a high standard: including sit, drop, “stay”, free walking and recall
Teach your dog to have reliable manners around the home, including addressing behaviours such as jumping up, stealing food, destruction, nuisance barking etc
Learn how to implement rules around the home to develop your leadership and trust with your dog. This includes teaching your dog not to run through doorways or jump up on furniture
Participate in lectures that cover practical and relevant aspects of teaching our dogs to listen and behave in the real world
No food rewards or treats are needed! Teach your dog to listen to your voice, even when they don’t want to!
Train and practice in high distraction environments to prepare your dog to listen in the real world
Training equipment supplied (lead & head halter)
MONDAY-WEDNESDAY: Located at our huge indoor training facility at 54 Rushdale Street, Knoxfield, 3180. Specialized training and lecture environments for teaching obedience and manners
SPLIT YOUR TRAINING ACROSS 2 SEPARATE LOCATIONS
THURSDAY: Located at our 10 acre training facility, 8 Kiernan Road, Macclesfield, 3782. Apply the new skills in different indoor/outdoor environments and address any driven behaviour around ponies, chickens and other dogs.
SUITABILITY
We have a number of training options available here at Alpha. The option you choose is dependant on what best suits your own schedule and learning preferences. Some reasons to choose this course are:
Learning in a relatively small group - between 2-10 people
Receive intensive training over a short period of time. Get all the information and skills you need to continue training at home
Ideal for owners that live too far away from Alpha’s services to attend weekly classes. Stay somewhere local for a few days whilst your undertake the course.
If your availability doesn’t suit our weekly classes schedule, then this is a great alternative!
Most (nearly all) dogs are suitable for this course, regardless of what behaviours you are trying to fix. Some cases of high end aggression may be better suited to private lessons and rehabilitation classes.

Absolutely! This is not a board and train service. Owners must be present for the 4 full days.

Sure thing! You are welcome to bring a partner or family member with you for some or all of the course. Consistency amongst everyone in the dogs life is essential to their training.

Most likely! Most dogs are suitable to participate, it really comes down to your own schedule and learning preferences as to whether this course is right for you.

Each day starts at 9am and will finish between 2pm-4pm. The finish time will depend on the size and skill level of each group.

No! Dog training happens over a long period of time and requires lifelong maintenance. However, you will be equipped with a high standard of skills and knowledge to continue progressing your dogs training at home.
